Set inside a fictional valley, Rosewood’s atmosphere is very North America-like. With tall pine trees and aging oaks, it’s a place of surreal perfection where roses grow in a multitude of colors all over the land. It’s untouched by the hands of man and seems to be the one remaining area of earth where nature is free to run its course without intervention or disruption.
Beyond the forest, however, lies a dense fog that few creatures dare to venture within. It’s said to be the edge of the world and that, stumbling through the blinding whiteness, any animal fool enough to enter would surely fall right off the planet. This fog also seems to possess some mystical quality – causing the animals that ‘appear’ in this place random memory lapses.
Almost everyone will remember nothing of their lives before Rosewood but a few even suffer this “brainwashing” effect again and – perhaps – again. The fog is also rumored to promote madness as there seems to be an epidemic set lose among the wolf population – with Andrézik at the heart. This land is quite an unfamiliar and otherworldly region that no one can get into or leave without the very forest’s permission.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
SEASON: Spring TEMP: 71°F to 83°F BREEDING: Yes
Spring is here! Cooler weather, light showers, and blossoming flowers are its trademark, tell-tale signs and there is a lot of each. Breeding will be accepted for a only a few more weeks (so hurry if you plan to!) and babies of every kind are beginning to celebrate their first days on earth.
I wanted to let everyone know that I've modified the rules just a tad. Our minimum post requirement has increased from 100/200 words to 200/400 words. Roughly equating to about two paragraphs. Now, I'm not a stickler for this kind of thing so I'm not expecting any dramatic changes or whatnot... I just realized how difficult it is to roleplay given a maximum of 200 words. Lol. =P You're very welcome to go overboard or - if you prefer - underboard, but please use this as rough scale. I understand completely that your wordcount is heavily dependent on any available musings (trust me, I'm currently lacking in such a department at the moment). Anyway... beyond this slight adjustment, carry on as you were! Great work to everybody for your activity! And a special thanks to Channing for advertising so much for our cause!
INFORMATION Unfortunately, every roleplay has their own set of rules for everyone to abide and adhere. We've tried to keep these as short as possible because we know how exhausting it can be to read over a bunch of repetitive wording. Enjoy!
DISCUSSION Just kick back and relax! You can talk about anything in this forum provided only that it is not roleplay-related. Our sole existing rule is to obey the common law of couresy and respect your fellow players.
PORTFOLIO For the talented few that would like to show off their skills, this is the place! Post up any artwork, poetry, or even short-stories that you'd like to share with your fellow players and we'll be sure to leave a comment!

ADVERTISEMENTS Come one, come all; to flaunt and dazzle, display and brag, hawk and spam! This is the only place on the Rosewood forum where you're allowed to link to any outside website. Just make sure you read the rules first!
CLAIMED TERRITORIES Amidst the neutral lands of the peaceful Rosewood, there are a possessed few regions that don't take kindly to strangers. The wolves in these lands guard them fiercely for the sake of their pack and future pups. If you're interested in joing one, take a deep breath and approach with caution - more often than not, the packs are accomodating to possible new members but there have been occassions when the 'greeting' was less-than-friendly.
REGALIA FIELDS The golden-hued meadow is a place of esteemed beauty and peace. It's long, grassland-like sprouts ripple in the wind like waves on the ocean and you can see for miles without any serious strain. Many wolves come here to relax and doze in the warm sunlight. There's even an outcropping of large rocks that make perfect perches and radiate warmth from their stoney interiors like natural stove-tops. A few trees dot the landscape, but otherwise there is no cover or shade to be found.
TEMPESTRIAL STREAM Slicing through the landscape is a serene little stream known for its crystalline rapids. Cold and refreshing, many animals prefer the spring-like, pure water that trickles down from the mountains to quench the thirst of the animals below. Trees have taken a strong liking to its current as well, and have overgrown many rocks and hills in the area - eager to get as much of the life-giving water as possible. Because of this, the stream has become quite winding and lazy.
ALABASTER FOREST Radiant rays of sunlight filter through the forest like raindrops of light, glittering and sparkling in a wild rhythm all their own. Overgrown and beautiful, the trees in this area have been in existence for what could be hundreds of years; thick trunks and encompassing limbs make any wanderer feel small by comparison. They offer a glorious amount of protection from the weather and have even been to known to harbor a burrow or two inside some of their hallowed interiors.
PRETENTIOUS CLIFFS High above the rest of the world are the infamous cliffs of Rosewood. Long ago, it is said, a battle was waged among two rival packs and many were chased to their deaths, right over the edge of the mist-shrouded precipice. Clouds are a constant feature of this height, lazily strolling by and casting a whitish haze across the area. Many are warned to be careful and watch their footing in this place - particularly if you find yourself nearer the edge than not...
VEHEMENCE QUARRY An outcropping of rocks sprang from - seemingly - nothing to create a perfect gathering place. Boulders of all sizes are located in a somewhat roundish shape with a very tall "stage" in the center. An old oak tree leans haphazardously over the meeting place like an umbrella perched to protect. During the day this is an adequate hunting ground of small rodents and reptiles of various proportions, but be on the lookout for deadly vipers! They love to warm themselves on the rock surface.

APOCRYPHAL CRATER A deep crater scars the earth where it is believed a vengeful god unleashed his fury. Now overgrown with shrubbery and even a few trees, this is a place that resonates with death. The wolves of Rosewood use the crater as their graveyard and bury their deceased in the fertil ground. Hunting is not permitted in this place - nor fighting of any kind. Violent acts are percieved as hostility against the dead and can earn a wolf a rather unsatisfying reputation.

CREDENCE LAKE Set in the center of a small woodland, the lake is like a diamond glittering in the sunlight. It's shores are sandy and soft with plenty of places to cool down in the summer heat. Trees have overgrown large boulders in the area, providing a very soothing shelter with a lake-front view. There are fish of every size and taste to be found in the crystalline waters where the stream empties; and of course lots of crisp, refreshing, and cool aquatic essence to savor.
